Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies out there! The students in third grade honored their mothers by inviting them to a very special Mother’s Day Tea Party. This was a big FIRST for third grade and we could not be more pleased with how sweet the event felt in our classroom.
Each of the mothers or fathers (if the mom couldn’t make it) sat on one side of the table and their child sat across from them. The children made decoupaged tiles for their mom as an extra touch for this special day. A separate counter was set up with tea, coffee for the Moms. The moms loved sipping their tea from sweet vintage cup and saucer. It wouldn’t be tea time without dainty sandwiches! The mother’s enjoyed delicious cucumber sandwiches along with biscoff cookies, muffins and bagels. The students enjoyed brownies and hot chocolate. The mothers and their child also took pictures with tea party props while posing in front a beautiful gold colored photo backdrop. The moms and dads loved every moment of the elegant tea party! You are such a treasure to your children.
