On March 10, 2018, Anush Polamraju, Grade 7, and Vikram Renganathan, Grade 5, represented Cedar Hill Preparatory School as they competed in the Somerset County Regional Spelling Bee at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School in Bridgewater NJ.
Both students demonstrated wonderful sportsmanship, scholarship, and tenacity as they advanced through the rounds amidst very tough competition. Anush advanced to the Championship Round where he was able to compete for second place until he misspelled obfuscatory. Vikram held on through the 10th round, the last round before the Championship Round. What an exciting competition! The adults in the audience were in awe of the spelling prowess of all the contestants!
The demeanor and resolve Anush and Vikram displayed truly classifies them as winners! The CHP community is so very proud of them!
