These talented fifth graders in Science at CHP tested their engineering skills.
The task: Make a shipping container for a single Pringles chip that keeps the chip intact and fresh through the USPS using only cardboard, tape, a sponge, a coffee filter, a foil square, and a piece of plastic. The students were so excited to open each other’s chip parcel when they were delivered by the postal worker.
Results: 4 out of 6 containers were successful at the task. Students evaluated the designs afterward while enjoying the chips of their labor. Well done crew!
