This week in Preschool our theme was Winter Animals. The children learned that there are animals that sleep all winter, called hibernation. We read books that explained what the animals do to prepare for hibernation. Some gather their food and put it in their burrow, some bulk up and eat their food before going into hibernation. As a class project, we made our own” Bear’s Den.” Each student brought in their own stuffed animal and placed them in our classroom den. Shhhhh, we don’t want to wake them up before spring!
