Preschool Learns about the Butterfly

The preschool classes learned the cycle of a butterfly first hand. Each class was given a cup containing caterpillars and their food. The children watched as their  caterpillars ate and ate and grew and grew. Each of caterpillars then transformed into a chrysalis and hung from the top of the cup. The children waited patiently for the chrysalis to become beautiful butterflies. After a few days we had beautiful butterflies that we let go  so they could be free.
