During the school year, preschoolers were caught doing random acts of kindness without being asked. So, the teachers created a “Be Kind” wall to recognize the children’s positive behavior. Every time a teacher caught one of their students helping another totally on their own and without being asked, that child received a “Be Kind” award. As the year went on, our certificates on the wall grew and grew. When the school had to close due to the coronavirus, the parents were asked to inform us when they saw their children doing random acts of kindness and let us know so we could still present them with the certificates. Without skipping a beat, parents are reporting that our little preschoolers are showing their kindness to their siblings and parents at home.
Here is our continuously growing “Be Kind” wall.
