Even during COVID times, nothing stops math competitions! This year, the annual Regional Mathcounts Chapter Competition was held online, and students could take the 1.5 hour contest within a 24-hr period from Feb 5th to Feb 6th. Every year in the contest, we have a “Best in School” award, and this year’s CHP winner is Karthikeya Kodali (7th grade) for coming in 1st place among the other seventh and eighth grade participants. As the best in school winner, Karthikeya was also invited to participate in a special (online) Chapter Invitational Competition at the end of February. Coming in close 2nd was Sarah Karlekar (7th), and Armaan Agrawal (8th) came in 3rd place.
All participants performed very well, and we are confident they will continue to excel in the field of Mathematics and STEM.
