On October 4th, Cedar Hill Prep’s Kindergarten class and their teachers visited their elderly friends at the Martin and Edith Stein Assisted Living Residence. The children engaged the residents into joining them to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and then they sang along with the Kindergarten students as they performed patriotic songs. The show continued with a performance of grandparent songs and a grandparent poem, At the end of the performance, the children walked around to greet each elderly resident with genuine admiration and respect. They shook hands with these “grandparents” as they held conversations with them. Everyone was smiling, and these moments were enjoyed by all!
