First Grade students make hot chocolate to become good writers! First graders made hot chocolate in class this week in order to learn about the importance of sequencing in writing.
To introduce the concept, students completed some introductory winter sequencing mats, suing just pictures. Then, we launched into the fun of making our own cups of hot chocolate, and writing our own recipes for the perfect delicious hot cup of cocoa. This project allows beginning writers at all skill levels to be successful and take pride in their work.
