Grades 7 and 8 presented Living History Night, in honor of Black History Month and Equal Rights Trailblazers. Thirty six students presented 5 to 8 minute first-person speeches in the name of key historical figures, some well known but many lesser known, and in all cases shed light on the difficult decision making each figure had to go through.
Our audience had a chance to choose among seven themed Zoom sessions over the three hour event. Students impressed with their research, their command of the complexity of the figures’ lives, and their expressive and dramatic portrayals.
