The 5th and 6th graders went to Camp Bernie form Oct. 23-25th. The students greatly benefitted from this fun outdoor experience. Students learned how to work together in groups through many team building activities. They also learned about various types of trees and how they are used in many products. Students made apple cider using an old-fashioned apple cider press.
Students learned how to climb on low ropes which help to build confidence. Students also learned how to work together on a baley team to propel classmates on a giant swing. A night hike in complete darkness tested everyone’s ability to rely on their senses. A final evening campfire with silly stories and s’mores capped off a very fun 3 days.
