In preparation for Living History Museum day students researched famous African Americans who made a contribution to the world of music, poetry, and dance. Each student wrote a biography on the person they chose, gave a 2-3 min speech and create a poster representing their person’s life.
The living history event celebrates and honors the varied identities of students; promoting the different cultures within the school, and encouraging all students to learn about Black heritage, cultures, and history. The students totally enjoyed this wonderful Middle School Event!
