Birdhouses
Grade 5 science students made birdhouses as their Physics experiment and reused/repurposed materials for the task. They learned about Earth’s 4 systems and how the systems interact with each other. A great job is done by all, even the virtual students. Some houses were hung on campus while others were hung in yards and parks. Welcome back Spring! Welcome back birds!
Grade 5 Diana Boric Visit
Once CHP family, always CHP family! Welcome back Diana Boric to our fifth grade classroom. Diana is an adult student who has returned to college for her master’s studies in Environmental Studies and Design. She shared her knowledge and a slide presentation with us about how the wetlands and estuaries are such an important, and sometimes underappreciated area of our Geosphere/Biosphere/Hydrosphere/Atmosphere. The students were able to connect their own experiences with these areas of land and were fully engaged both in-person and virtual. Thank you, Diana, for your enlightenment and your time.
