During CHP’s annual Poetry Day celebration, Grade 4 recited poetry that was reflective of the American landscape, from the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the skyscrapers of our cities, from the early lamplighters to the postmasters and civil rights activists.
During the second part of the program, the 4th graders shared their own original poems, inspired by various poetic formats and poets.
The program culminated in a Writing Workshop during which the 4th graders and many of the visiting parents wrote collaborative poems.
It was an exciting day of great accomplishments! Congratulations 4th graders for your wonderful performances! Thank you to all of the Grade 4 family members who were able to join in!
