Third grade welcomed another mystery reader on Valentine’s day. The third graders welcomed her with a traditional drum roll. Mrs. Rao, Kasmyra’s mom read two books to the third graders. The first one, The Little Witch, a book about the baby witch who left a trail of beautiful flowers as she traveled around town. The third graders delighted in the wonderful story of the little witch. Mrs. Rao’s reading made the little witch and her friends come alive with humor.
The second book she read was The Selfish Giant. The story is about a giant, his garden and the children who used to play in it. The book is a nice work of imagination, it is for children who love magical creatures like the giant. It teaches the importance of sharing, the good things in life and how it brings happiness to not just the one it is being shared with but also the one who is sharing. Thank you very much for reading to us, Mrs. Rao!
