January has been a busy month in third grade. Third Graders welcomed another mystery reader this month, Mr. Prabhakaran, Aditi’s dad. He was given a warm welcome with the traditional drum roll. He read the book How the cookie crumbled by Gilbert Ford. The book is a short story about how Ruth Wakefield, an American chef and entrepreneur who invented chocolate chip cookie and came up with a unique and clever recipe. The author gives us three possible scenarios on how she could have come up with the recipe and gives readers a choice to choose which is most likely to be true. The third graders were fascinated by the book and some might be tempted to try the cookie recipe! Thank you very much Mr. Prabhakaran for reading to us.
