“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” March 2nd is Read Across America Day, a national celebration in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. The first Read Across America day was held seventeen years ago! Since then, it has been celebrated in schools all over the country. On March 2nd 3rd graders read to the three and four year old classrooms. The younger children enjoyed books such as “Green Eggs and Ham,” “Wacky Wednesday” and “Oh, The Places You’ll Go.” Students enjoyed wearing their colorful hats and even received Dr. Seuss stickers for the celebration! Great job third graders!
