Despite the change in the way Cedar Hill Prep School 2nd graders have attended school recently, they continued to work hard on science fair projects. Students enthusiastically shared their results, demonstrating their understanding of the Scientific Method, in live on-line presentations. Many different topics were investigated, including friction and car speed, pollution’s effect on plant growth, and best mixtures to eliminate hand germs. Experiments also related to density of liquids, magnetic force, absorbency of materials, and crystal formation. Our young scientists discovered that hypotheses may not always be supported, organization of data is important, and that one experiment often leads to another! Well-done, 2nd graders!!
