Cedar Hill Pre School Grade 1 Students created their own Polar Express ticket for Polar Express / Pajama Day on December 18. The students read The Polar Express. They discussed the rich vocabulary of the text and admired the beautiful illustrations while Mrs. Parab and our wonderful class moms prepared hot chocolate and arranged students’ desks as if it was a train ride. The students were seated as passengers while Mrs. Parab hole-punched their individual tickets. They retold the events of the story through teacher guidance. Each student received a bell, which in the story,was The First Gift of Christmas. Our students enjoyed their hot chocolate, cookies and especially their Polar Express Train Ride.
