On June 1st and June 2nd our First Graders participated virtually in the CHP Poetry Café. Each student chose a poem from a group that was provided to them. They were given time to memorize the poem and include a presentation of a poster or dress up like a character from the poem or discuss the reason why they chose that particular poem.
The performance of our First Grade students was extraordinary! They recited their poems and spoke about their presentation in a wonderful manner. Our students were also dressed in their fine clothes to highlight how important this presentation was. . Parents were invited to join their child as they presented their recitation.
