First Grade competed in their first Scripps Spelling Bee on Friday, January 4. Students prepare at home in the month prior to the bee and show their skills during our class bee. While all students showed their best spelling skills, Mrs. Parab and Mrs. Parker were especially impressed by everyone’s sportsmanship during and after the bee. Shruti Chinthamenani took first place, followed closely by Vishnu Badhan in second place. We are looking forward to cheering for them next week as they compete against the second grade winners.
