First and second graders participated in a House Lunch last week. Each child sat in their respective House and had a chance to socialize with the other members. Pairing the children up across grade levels, gives the children a chance to interact with their peers and learn about each grade. After lunch, the children continued the fun by playing together during recess.
A House Lunch, is an event that is part of the Cedar Hill Prep House System. In CHP’s house system, the students are grouped into different houses or sections. Over the year, the students participate together in different events such as sports and academic competitions, as well as service activities. The children enjoy this time together to explore new friends and common interests.
