Children in Preschool learned the importance of remembering the emergency number 911. After reading the book, 911 What is Your Emergency? each child had the opportunity to pretend to have an emergency by saying and identifying those numbers on the book. When the operator came on, the children explained their pretend emergency. Children role played situations where they would need to use this information.
Stop, Drop and Roll was also introduced to the children through our fire safety books. It is a safety procedure taught to the children if clothing happens to catch on fire. Each child learned and practiced the procedure.
