I am thrilled to be joining Cedar Hill Prep as the Grade 2 Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. This school year marks my 26th year in education, and I bring with me experience teaching students from Preschool through 2nd grade. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My love for teaching began as a young girl, inspired by my own teachers, and I have always wanted to make a positive impact on my students. I take pride in seeing my students take on challenges and accomplish their goals.

My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can reach their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take on challenges. They should have choices and let their curiosity direct their learning as I support them through their educational journey. I firmly believe that every child possesses unlimited potential just waiting to be unlocked. My goal is to ignite self-driven discovery and foster a love for learning in each and every student.
