Middle School Teacher – Social Studies

I am thrilled to join the team of educators at CHP as the middle school social studies teacher. My journey into education began with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in Reading from Grand Canyon University

Nine years ago, I embarked on a career change, transitioning from nearly two decades in banking to pursue my lifelong passion for teaching. From a young age, I knew that education was my calling, and in 2015, I made the decision to return to school to fulfill my dream.

As an educator, my philosophy centers on fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and inspired to learn. I believe in utilizing engaging and interactive teaching methods that cater to diverse learning styles, encouraging critical thinking and a deep understanding of social studies concepts. By integrating real-world applications and promoting active participation, I aim to empower students to become informed global citizens who are equipped to navigate an increasingly interconnected world.

I am dedicated to nurturing a love for learning, cultivating curiosity, and instilling a sense of responsibility and empathy in my students. I look forward to contributing to the academic and personal growth of each student at CHP, preparing them for future success both inside and outside the classroom.
