Election Day in Grade 2

2nd graders enjoyed a mini-unit on Voting and Elections. The children have become very civic minded and learned valuable information about how to run for a leadership position. We discussed how campaigns work, and the importance of making an informed decision when voting. Each child made an election timeline and booklet to highlight the importance of the steps of the election process. 2nd grade showed great citizenship skills, and are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the election.
