Donald Seeley

My name is Donald Seeley. I have been with Cedar Hill Prep School since its inception. In 2004, I became the School Principal and Camp Director of Cedar Hill Prep. This has been an incredible journey watching the school grow from a fledgling preschool to a Preschool – K 8 School. I am proud to say Cedar Hill Prep School is a community where we believe in every child and build a community of learners. We are committed to graduating well rounded students who are independent, responsible and effective team players.

Before joining CHP, I taught in the Montclair School District and then worked in the corporate sector for 13 years to work for CVS Pharmacy as supervisor of 15 stores and hundreds of employees.

I attended Montclair State University where I received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education. I also played Varsity football there for 4 years.

My love and passion for teaching brought me back to this profession and Cedar Hill Prep. There is no greater joy in life than watching a child grow and succeed, knowing I had a part in that. Whether it is counseling students, playing with them in team sports, letting them wrap me in toilet paper after meeting our Book Fair goals, or getting dunked with water after the Junior Olympics, there is no other place I would want to work than right here.

During my free time, I love watching sports, suspense dramas, playing music, participating in outdoor activities, traveling and interacting with people..
