VEX IQ is a robotics platform designed to transform the STEM learning paradigm for young students. When students have the ability to jump right in and snap robots together using an intuitive tool-less system, it can unlock curiosity and a passion that will stay with them for life. It is a snap-together robotics system designed from the ground up to provide this opportunity to future engineers of all skill levels. The system naturally encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership for young students. VEX IQ uses industry-leading technology, like quadrature encoders and current monitors in every Smart Motor. All electronics come with a pre-installed Driver Control code, which means that students can drive their creations as soon as they’re built!
CHP VEX IQ elective focuses on advanced building and programming techniques, including the use of various sensors, using the game format of the year. This team participates in Scrimmage matches and VEX IQ tournament, throughout the academic year.
