Our return from Winter Break was quite busy as students in grades 1 – 8 prepared for the annual Spelling Bee. The first stage of the competition involved the Classroom Bees. The winners from each grade then advanced to the CHP Spelling Bee.
On the morning of January 21st , the CHP community gathered in the gym to support the twenty-four contestants as they competed in our annual CHP Spelling Bee. The entire competition was quite impressive and lasted 10 rounds!
Advancing to the 10th round were Sahana Aravindakshan (grade 4), Narayan Lekhi & Aarush Shah (grade 5), Leela Menon & Aanya Tolat (grade 7). Leela and Aanya then went on to compete in the Championship Round.
Congratulations to Aanya Tolat (1st place winner) and Leela Menon (runner-up) for their amazing performances! Aanya will advance to the SCLSNJ Regional Spelling Bee Spectacular on March 7th with our best wishes!
