At CHP, we are excited as we are getting ready for our first day of school. But our hearts are with Houston and all those affected by the devastation caused by the hurricane. In support, Cedar Hill Prep has been matched with a classroom at Little Cypress Intermediate School in Orange, Texas. Amber Comeaux, the teacher of the class we have been matched with, has contacted us expressing the dire need for basic school supplies. Everything in her school has been lost.
As we celebrate the beginning of our school year at the CHP Back to School Picnic, kindly bring a donation of a pack of pencils, binder, notebook paper, markers, backpacks, or other school supplies. CHP students and families can help make a classroom a place where children can smile and learn while their town rebuilds their homes and businesses. Here at CHP, let’s show Texas how big our hearts are and help a classroom in need.
Collection boxes will be placed at the CHP Back-to-School Picnic outside the Middle School Building. Please bring your donations to the picnic with you.
