I earned a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1981. During my time in college to now, I have enjoyed working with children as a church children’s choir director, a camp counselor, and a teacher of saxophone and piano. These experiences had enabled me to witness, first-hand, how children learn and how difficult it can be for them to express, in a coherent manner, what they think, feel and know. This knowledge has become invaluable to me in the business world because I found that adults may have similar challenges. I learned the family business from the ground up and became the general manager until it was sold. During my tenure in this capacity, my primary duty was to assist in communicating, to prospective customers, why they should do business with our company. I was actively involved in writing sales proposals and making presentations to clients. I also wrote radio copy and edited web sites for clients.

In 2001, I moved to New Jersey and continued my passion for editing by revising both non- scientific and scientific work. For the past 19 years, I have been involved in every aspect of professional writings to include editing articles for publication, book chapters, two scientific textbooks and one book on advertising. I also provide editing functions for grant proposals submitted to federal agencies, such as the National Science Foundation and contribute editing services for research papers, collaborative projects and academic procedures.
