Cedar Hill Prep competed in the NJ State Chess Tournament at Brookdale Community College on Sunday, February 24. New Jersey’s 270 best K-8 chess players attended the event!
There were twelve elementary school teams at the tournament. Cedar Hill Prep did not field an elementary school team, but we did send three individual players.
Sahana Aranvidnakshan finished 10th in NJ with 4 wins and 1 loss.
There were seven middle school teams in attendance. Cedar Hill Prep finished in third place. Our official team record was 11 wins 8 losses and 1 draw. Sparta Middle School won the event with 12 wins 7 losses and 1 draw.
Priyansh Shrivastava finished 4th in NJ in the Middle School Section with 4 wins and 1 loss.
