What’s all the buzz about 3.14 and pi? Mrs. Lekhi and five 8th grade students came to the rescue when they zoomed into the 2nd grade to teach the younger children the very basics of pi. By means of a fun video and a demonstration with a student water bottle and string, the upperclassmen enthusiastically explained circumference and diameter, and….pi. The 2nd graders especially enjoyed the challenge to recall as many digits of pi as they could – 3.14159265… Thank you, 8th graders!
