Third grade welcomed yet another mystery reader to their classroom. Mr. Baruah, Nitara’s dad. Mr. Baruah read The Abyss a story about a whale calf who fights the odds to find his lost mother caught in a ravine. Interestingly, the story was written by none other than Shaurya Baruah, Nitara’s older brother and a former third grade student of Mrs. Kotasthane.
The story was the Winner of the NUHA Young Writers Blogging Prize in 2017* The story caught the attention of all the third graders and they even remarked that the story was full of imagination and excitement.
