The Pre- Kindergarten students are enjoying the beautiful holiday season. They are learning all about the different holidays and how they are celebrated. With the first night of Chanukah this week, they discussed the miracle that happened so many years ago and why the celebration is for 8 nights. The students enjoyed hearing Chanukah stories and learned that the holiday is celebrated by eating potato pancakes called latkes. They also learned that chocolate coins are given out to enjoy. These coins are called Chanukah gelt.
The best part of the day was eating potato latkes with applesauce.
Boy, were they yummy.
