Spring is coming, and the Franklin Food Bank’s Annual Tour de Franklin is Sunday, April 29, 2018.
Come join us for a day of cycling, walking, and fun to fight local hunger. This year we will be back at the Franklin High School. The day will include 62-mile, 40-mile, 25-mile, and 10-mile bike rides, as well as a 1-5 mile neighborhood ride or walk and 1-10 mile rides and walks along the scenic D&R Canal path. There is a free bike drawing, lunch for all attendees, and everyone who registers prior to April 1saves $5 and is also guaranteed a t-shirt.
New this year we are offering Spin de Tour in case you can’t make the Tour on April 29 or perhaps you want to get in an extra ride. Spin de Tour is a spin class at Crunch Fitness in Somerset on Saturday, April 21 at 11:30am.
Make an even bigger impact with additional donations from supportive family and friends – they can sponsor your ride right on First Giving. Riders who reach $150 in donations, including the registration fee, are Silver Riders, and riders who reach $300 are Gold Riders. Riders who can reach $1000 in donations are in the Titanium circle. Everyone who registers by April 1 receives a T-shirt, Silver and Gold Riders receive distinctive black T-shirts, and Titanium Riders receive a unique Tour de Franklin cycling jersey to honor their impact against hunger.
Thank you for your support in previous Tour de Franklins, and for making it the Food Bank’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Unfortunately, hunger still persists. In 2017 the Food Bank provided nearly 10,000 food packages to families in the community. We couldn’t do it without your help and events like the Tour de Franklin.
