Jump-A-Thon to help 5 year old Alex in her battle with Leukemia
CHP is proud to participate in a Jump-A-Thon to help 5 year old Alex in her battle with Leukemia. All Proceeds to benefit the research for the fight against Leukemia. Beginning the week of January 11, 2016 we will hold “jump-a-thon” event during P.E. Class. Students will have between 3 minutes and 15 minutes during gym class depending upon the age for the jump-a-thon. Each child will complete as many jumps as he/she can in that time period. If they stop or miss the rope, they can just restart as many times as needed. We will have a boy and girl winner (most number of jumps) for each class. Younger children (PreK and Junior Kindergarten) will just jump in place without a jump rope as many times as they can! Winners from each class will receive a prize. Please remember to return your child’s pledges by Friday, January 22nd. You can also visit the TEAM ALEX facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Smileforalex/ Please know that the support of others is truly the backbone of all our strength.

Leaders impact all of our lives on a daily basis. It is important for the students to understand that the same leadership values they live by, provide inspiration and help establish an environment of continuous improvement in their lives and the lives of others. As such, the need for strong leadership remains constant and ever present.
Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten are invited to join “Ready Get Ready”. Children will use their imaginations and have fun interacting with puppets while singing and listening to stories. This will help develop early literacy skills. Five of the best ways to help your child get ready to read are: Talking, singing, reading, writing and playing. With your help, we can develop and nurture your child’s love of books.

As technology advances and improve, it becomes much more feasible to integrate multimedia directly into classroom activities and the core curriculum. Understanding why, when, and where multimedia is appropriate and beneficial is the first step toward successful implementation. Our students will enhance how they research and present.
